Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience setting commercial door frames, hanging a variety of commercial doors and hardware, steel stud framing, acoustical ceilings.
  • Experience setting cabinets, installing wood trim, etc. a plus but not a requirement.
  • Have all customary hand carpentry tools
  • Ability to work 40+ hours/wk. with occasional nights/Saturday’s or off-hours projects
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to projects within a 50 mi. radius of Nashville
  • Well-groomed, clean cut and pass both drug testing and background check
    CARPENTERSPLUS team members are furnished vehicles for work assignments
  • Experienced Carpenter (see Carpenter Job Qualifications) who desires to learn to supervise and manage projects in the field
  • This position qualifies team members for future consideration for Superintendent role
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience supervising Commercial Office/Tenant Improvement Projects with the ability to plan work and anticipate expected/unexpected challenges on a daily basis.
  • Ability to read and understanding plans, specifications and building codes
    Work hours are typically 6:30AM-3:00PM, and as required to complete assigned projects
  • High School diploma with preference for some college/trade coursework
  • Meeting Carpenter job requirements a plus
    Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to projects within a 50 mi. radius of Nashville
  • Well-groomed, clean cut and pass both drug testing and background check
  • Company truck and gas card or optional vehicle allowance
  • 4-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Experience estimating and managing multiple fast-track commercial projects in the $250K – $3M size range including responsibility for interior work
  • Capable of looking at a set of incomplete drawings, identify what’s missing and take the initiative to get answers from the architect or owner
  • Capable of managing multiple projects with strict deadlines in a calm, professional demeanor
  • Proven extremely good at building and fostering strong, long lasting relationships with clients where they call you back for the next project
  • Financially motivated; go-getter with strong work ethic
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent follow through
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to projects within a 50 mi. radius of Nashville
  • Well-groomed, clean cut and pass both drug testing and background check
